Also work on more colonial gowns for my Queen Anne replica doll. I just completed the fifth outfit for her and they keep improving as time progresses. Fingers crossed that its successful completing more. I have another striped one in the wings of teal tan gold and hints of orange. When one finds the right fabric for the task it just rings a bell in the mind.
As I was listening to oldies from the 50’s-60’s rock and pop numbers, it’s what I remember from my childhood. As 80’s rock was not allowed till I was older and we skipped disco completely. Anyway I reminded me of when I would get into my mother’s sewing drawer to get needles and thread to sew doll dresses for my Barbie dolls. It was all whip stitch and horrible lines. Although i had fun and eventually after home-economics I knew basic construction and reading a pattern to do more detailed work. Life comes full circle now I’m in my mid 30’s and still making dolls clothing moreover it’s a life’s study. Eventually leading to an all over research to and eventual authored book on the topic.
Who knew a childhood interest would be an adult pursuit,
