Some inspiration for the next part of the dolls journey. I was aided by Mistress Elska on these fashion plates from Continental Europe. I was hoping there would be a version for Scandinavian dress for Viking and one for Russian. So I have some more work to do but this is a good beginning. Luckily dated and noted which region or country so that helps.
I am also trying to see if I should do middle class or a lady of note. Most dolls were owned by affluent women and I have some documentation one this from a book called An Illustrated Guide to the Dolls as Used in Fashion. It references the ownership of dolls by some notable courts and queens, alongside the later use of a rented fashion figure to take to ones tailor.
On a different note I made a YouTube video on flax and plant fiber spinning, take a look. Flax Spinning and Other Plant Fibers Please consider subscribing to my channel to stay up to date. As some thing will differ from here to there on the inter webs.
