I completed spinning of the wool that was included with the new to me castle spinning wheel. This was great practice, to see how the plying worked and the function of the lazy kate. Worked like a dream and very easy to use in the front of the wheel, well placed.
I plyed yarn that filled up two spools and put them on a niddy noddy. The ones I made from craft wood are not holding up well. So I plan on purchasing some new ones, I have a good Kromski one I love and will get two more one medium and one large to go with my small one in a walnut stain. Will be needing strong niddy noddies for making skeins.
Started spinning from my stash, a dark teal green is working up nicely. I have a variegated wool that will ply and add other teal colors to this solid and give some interest. I am hoping with the teal blue and very gated I have enough to make some great project. Just have to figure out if it will be enough for a waistcoat. Guess we shall see what I can generate. From the same seller I bought a crimson red and have some variegated reds I want to purchase. So hoping for a red project too.
I have a deadline project for the artisan exchange. So will have to get working on a design for my chosen person. That will need to be made by February. So hoping for inspiration to strike for that project. Got to be something really good.
That’s all for now. Hoping to be making another YouTube video sometime soon. So here is to hoping for lots to do in these dark times.
Positive Thoughts,
