While researching more about writing for The Compleat Anachronist. Its time to put my work in a more concise but well cited document. I do feel overwhelmed writing a book but figured this smaller work might be a great stepping stone.
The Compleat Anachronist is a quarterly publication in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) that features a 50-60 page "monographic" booklet. Basically one issue on one topic of focus per quarter. For example the most recent one was about styles of chess, looks to be in two parts. I wanted to share a link for those unfamiliar, which also has a great listing of past titles. Also as information for those who may one day write one for this publication. https://www.sca.org/resources/document-library/
Basically gives the information about what is needed to meet the criteria, editing process, release forms and other such details. Also mentions the work needs to be in Chicago Manual of Style. Look like they use the notes and bibliography kind of citing, Not the internal citations as I am used with MLA or APA. Which means I will need rework any existing documents for this format, but not impossible.
Looks to be an interesting journey. Now to get writing.
