I used a floral brocade for the undress a nice green with gold and colorful florals, with a yellow trim. The skin layer is a white linen chemise under the base dress. Then made the outer with black cotton with gold printed floral acanthus pattern to offset the other floral dress. More is more when it comes to late medieval clothing. So I also finished the loom with a “Cofia Y Tranzado”. The braid case in the back can be waist-length or longer. Since this is a doll, I made the headgear in full length. With black ribbon which was popular in most of the reference images. This headdress is made also of white linen tied off with a gold trim forehead tie, which was in other reference images. So was leaning on the reference image to make an educated decision on the choices made for this particular doll's clothing. I am happy with how she turned out, very plausible. Now for 6 of the six-inch dolls next. I am in the planning stages of those dolls and they are currently living in the sewing bag. Also found a great sculpt at a local thrift shop. For a new dog that is going to be more based on 1960s clothing. I think she looks like Ruby Bridges and I’m going on that sort of schoolgirl look.
So that is what is new for now.
