I was able to locate a few great books used books.. One called The Dolls of Yesterday, which has direct references to Crèche and Fashion dolls. So I have some sources to track back, that was thrilling. Even more exciting to find this for $2.00. The next is one called Lost Country Life, which talks about English country folk lived and did their many tasks though the seasons and the skills needed to keep a farm going. Was able to get this for $3.00 The one being a Farmers Almanac publication on Common Sense Fixes, pretty self explanatory for $4.48. The last being a fiction called A World Made by Hand. I’ll have to see about this one it was recommended reading for $6.00.
When I am accompanying to appointments knitting has been happening. I have the beginnings of a shawl. Although I plan on taking the completed wool knit material to felt it into a more solid wool. So considering a few options for a hat or other some accessory. We shall see what it wants to be made into. Other than finding more vintage sewing notions, vintage hats and clothing for me, that’s about it.
Have a great weekend,
THL Marrin O’Cadhla
