Accessories every where, although the devil is in the details. Along with the hose planning, recently purchased the supplies to make a hat. I have in my possession brain tanned leather for the shoes in a off white like color. Additionally, found a pattern online for lachet style shoes. Cut those out and have a nice red trim for the edges. Although sewing the leather will take some time too and lots of planning. I also have to make a good sole for the shoes and need a thicker leather for that part. I have completed the under kirtle, which is a 1570s French styled gown this would be worn underneath the 1570’s English Fitted Gown.
This weeks adventure was sewing trim around the opening and hem line at this time and there will be more trim to sew on this layer outfit. Additionally all the ribbon ties have to be styled in their final positions.
Will be making posts on the green wool hose, the red velvet trim leather shoes, the plume bedecked velvet tall hat and the 1570's Fitted English gown. That is not including more on the woodcarving, painting and wig making anon.
All the things!
